Parents and Teacher Association

Aim:

The Parent and Teacher Association (PTA) is in place to support the school to enable it to better serve its community. Primarily, this is through fundraising to bring new technologies, improved equipment and greater participation of outings to the children of Capel Primary School. The group is made up of a variety of stakeholders who want to see the school thrive.

"I cannot praise the PTA enough for the positive impact it has had over recent years. The work to fund raise for the school has made a tangible difference to generations of learning. Our staging, iPads and the improvements to our playground simply would not exist with current school funding. We need the school PTA to work with us to provide the provision to keep up with our vision." Mr Taylor, Headteacher

The Association meets four times per academic year and runs a range of events, such as our popular school discos, annual May Fayre and Quiz nights, to achieve their aims.

May Fair 2019

Our Annual May Fair will be taking place on the 4th May 2019 kicking off at 12pm. Our May Court will welcome you to the Fair and we will begin with performances from our Maypole dancers and school choir. As the event takes place on the unofficial Star Wars day - 'May the fourth be with you' there will be an intergalactic theme to the event. The infamous Fairy Garden competition has been changed to a Magical Garden theme so children can introduce some out of this world elements to their gardens if they want to. We are also introducing a fancy dress competition - we would love the children to come dressed as their favourite character - it can be from Star Wars or any book, film TV programme.

Once again we will have local business craft and gift stalls, the highly anticipated Headteacher in the Stocks event and the chance to climb aboard a local fire engine or get locked up in a Police Car. There will be lots to eat and drink with BBQ, Cake stall, tea, coffee and Bar. We're delighted that the Dovestock Collective will be providing live music throughout the afternoon. Please get in touch if you would like one of our local business stalls or if you can donate a Raffle prize.
